The Gift of Imagination by SelectYourself The Gift of Imagination by SelectYourself
Ever since I was little I have always enjoyed reading. Anytime I was having a bad day I could open a book and escape into a world of wonder, excitement, and imagination. The gift of imagination has impacted my life in so many ways.  My drawing is and interpretation of what feels like to open a book and unlock the door of your imagination. What gift could be better?

Technique/Process:
First I sketched my picture by hand on 8x10 textured paper than scanned it to my computer and added the color, shading, lighting, background, and details using Photoshop and Sketchbook-Pro.

Comments are appreciated!:)

Seriously.

....

Seriously????

Amazing in every way. It does feel like she's right there, and it's got that perfect enchanting feeling, especially the way the castle looks juuuust comic/fantasy enough, compared to her more realistic face. I just love this so much. You just amaze me :D!!

You pretty much put into imagery exactly how it is!! It's an inspiring illustration.

Good to hear from you too! I don't get on FB often so I'm not up to date on peoples stuff =P. Nice to see some stuff from you again! I get excited when I see something from you pop up in my deviation stacks! :D

The weather is pretty...average... 3 weeks ago we got 6 feet of snow in 2 days! It was surreal! Then it warmed up for a few days and melted nearly all of it. It's cloudy... 30's... few inches of snow on the ground... definitely Christmas season! :D How's the weather down that way?

WOW!!! That is a LOT of snow! We've just had a few snow flurries down here in North Carolina but nothing that sticks. It's gotten down to 16 degrees and my sisters are hoping for more snow by Christmas but no luck yet...:)

It was a record! It's the amount we usually get in an entire winter season! :iconsnowing-plz:
16 Degrees? Yikes that's pretty nippy :O we've gotten down to 10-15 during that storm, but not since. Well you got 2 weeks! Maybe a nice dumping will come your way. Or I'll ship some down to you... though it may be a crate of water by then. :giggle:

True... very true :giggle:... well I could either put "refrigeration required" on the package :D, or, just go buy a snow gun and make your own! Maybe make a whole bunch of ice cubes first and throw them around the yard to cool it off so the snow sticks better if it's warm haha =P
