As nice as this is, it looks a lot like you referenced or traced flightrising.deviantart.com/ar… <-This picture

Yeah... apart from the head angle and some other small details, it's basically identical. And I've gone through the entirety of this AmandaKathryn's gallery looking for the supposed reference, despite my skepticism due to the extreme similarities... and yeah, you're definitely right. There's no sculpture in there that matches this pose, there's not a single one that even has similar features such as the chest fins (the /completely-identical/-to-FR's-design chest fins...) and the two pictures are so very obviously the same... there is simply /no/ way this was referenced off anything else. It's clearly copied.

I hereby call for a redline comparison. Though it shouldn't be necessary; it's obvious just from looking at both pictures, and the dates they were uploaded, that someone's not being entirely honest here. But since SelectYourself has denied it, I guess some (more) irrefutable proof might be unfortunately necessary.

And to the "artist": Yes, this is nice-looking, but it doesn't matter how nicely you change or copy something that someone else made - you get permission first and IF it's given, you still give credit to the person who actually came up with the original. Anything less is disgusting, and frankly pathetic.

I completely agree! Sadly I'm not someone who can actually do any redline comparision, so I think we should find someone who can and is willing to.

Thank you!
I actually used a sculpture by AmandaKathryn as my inspiration .:) I am a huge fan of Tony Diterlizzi's work in the Spiderwick Chronicles series so I was also inspired by his amazing drawings of unicorns. In my description I have a link to my original sketch.

Thanks for checking out my creation!:)

It's beautiful! I love the coloration, and the way you drew it it looks very young and I haven't seen one drawn quite like that. :D

Is this digital or traditional? Or both? :)

Thank you so much!!!😃
Yeah it's a mix of both. I drew it by hand on watercolor paper, then scaned it onto my computer, do the coloring and lighting, and add some filters.
